Multiple Landscape Architects were consulted and a comprehensive plan was developed. Key to the plan was respecting the architecture of the house while creating a contemporary feel. Elements considered were placement of the pool, placement of the new brick wall, placement of a new Oak on the corner, and many other details that would eventually blend together to create a comfortable, usable space.

A "secret garden" was created adjacent to the sunroom and planted with Camellias and Bulbs to bring color into the house during the winter months. In the summer a fountain gives the distant sound of falling water.

Drip Irrigation lines are buried throughout the property allowing container plants to thrive through the heat of a Memphis summer. Flexible lines run from the buried pipes to individual containers. Commercially available drip heads control the amount delivered to the individual container. Many professional landscape firms use this equipment.
